Why iPhone data recovery requires specialist expertise
Unlike many Android devices, iPhone storage (NAND) is hardware-encrypted and permanently linked to the CPU/Secure Enclave. Reading the chip directly is not possible. We therefore recover data using a functioning logic board (or by temporarily restoring its critical signal paths). A decrypted backup can only be created once communication between CPU ↔ Secure Enclave ↔ NAND is stable.
Important: Please do not repeatedly turn on or charge the iPhone, or try “software tools”, if it has been exposed to water or shows signs of electrical faults. Every attempt to turn it on can worsen short circuits and destroy data structures.
Common faults – and how we recover your data

- Logic board stabilisation: Repairing/bridging power, clock, reset and data lines (e.g. CPU↔NAND, I²C/SPI/PMIC paths).
- System startup under lab conditions: Restoring the minimum functionality required for SEP/CPU to decrypt the NAND.
- Backup creation: Complete backup of all user data (photos, videos, contacts, messages, apps/containers, notes, etc.).
- Integrity check: Spot checks, hash comparisons, tests opening relevant files (photos/DBs) → quality assurance.
- Delivery: on a USB drive (incl.), via iCloud or a download link, as requested.
Mistakes you should always avoid
- Do not turn on or charge if water or electrical damage is suspected.
- Do not dry in an oven, rice or with a hot-air gun: damages connectors/solder joints and accelerates corrosion.
- No DIY repairs without ESD protection: ESD damage is invisible but fatal to the CPU/PMIC/lines.
- No random software resets: DFU/recovery attempts can overwrite data areas (depending on the device's condition).
