Initially, you only book the logic board diagnosis for 99 €. After analysis under the microscope, you receive a binding fixed price – you are free to decide whether we carry out the repair.
Chip-level repair
The standard case: faulty microchips (BGA components such as charging IC, audio IC, Tristar, baseband) or short circuits are located under the microscope, and defective components are desoldered and replaced with tested components
Board swap (data recovery only)
For a severely damaged logic board (fracture, extensive corrosion, burnt area around the CPU), we transfer the CPU + NAND to a donor logic board. Exclusively for data recovery cases – the aim is one-time data access, not continued long-term use.
If you decline the quote or a repair is unsuccessful in an individual case, you pay only the logic board diagnostic fee of 99 €. If a repair is carried out, this prepaid fee will of course be credited towards the repair costs.
Why logic board diagnosis costs 99 €
The logic board of a modern iPhone is not a simple component, but what is known as a Sandwich board: two separate board layers soldered together, one on top of the other, at the factory. For a proper chip-level diagnosis, these two layers must be cleanly separated again under controlled heat – without damaging the BGA solder balls or surrounding components.
In addition, newer iPhone models are designed to be opened from the back – the back cover is glued all the way around and must be carefully released using heat and specialist tools, without damaging the frame or seal.
Disassembling the device, desoldering and separating the sandwich logic board, and the actual Logic board diagnosis under the microscope our technicians take a total of approx. 1–2 hours of hands-on work. That is why we charge a fair diagnostic flat fee of 99 € for this.
Good to know: If you then decide to proceed with the repair, the 99 € you have already paid will be credited in full towards the repair price. You will not pay twice.

We analyse the logic board under a stereo microscope, identify the underlying fault – often the charging IC, audio IC, Tristar, NAND memory or short circuits following water damage – and precisely replace the affected components using hot air and a soldering iron. Turnaround time is usually 3–5 working days, approximately 5–7 working days including shipping.
